What We Do
Compare Telehealth is an independent comparison service for Australian telehealth providers. We research, verify, and compare pricing, features, bulk billing availability, Medicare eligibility, and patient reviews across the Australian telehealth market.
Our goal is simple: help you find the right telehealth provider for your needs without spending hours researching each option yourself.
Why We Built This
The Australian telehealth market has grown rapidly since 2020. There are now dozens of providers offering everything from bulk billed GP consultations to specialist referrals, mental health support, and chronic disease management. Finding the right one takes time, and pricing is often unclear until you are already in the booking process.
We built Compare Telehealth to bring transparency to a market that needs it. Every Australian deserves clear, accurate information about their healthcare options.
How We Compare Providers
Our comparison data comes from multiple sources:
- Provider websites: We check pricing, features, and service availability directly
- Medicare Benefits Schedule: We reference the official MBS for rebate information
- Patient reviews: We aggregate reviews from Google, Trustpilot, and the App Store
- Direct verification: We contact providers to confirm pricing and features when publicly available information is unclear
All comparison data includes a "last verified" date so you know how current the information is. We aim to verify all pricing data at least once per quarter.
Editorial Independence
Our comparisons are editorially independent. Paid partnerships (featured listings, sponsored content) are clearly disclosed and do not influence our comparison methodology or editorial recommendations.
When a provider has a commercial relationship with us, we label it clearly with a "Featured", "Sponsored", or "Affiliate" badge. You can read more about this on our How We Compare page.
Data Methodology
We do not rely on self-reported data from providers. Where possible, we independently verify claims about pricing, bulk billing availability, and service features. Our fact-checking process cross-references provider claims against:
- The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS Online)
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration records
- Published patient reviews and ratings
- Direct testing of booking flows and service availability
Who We Are
Compare Telehealth was founded by Mitchell Bradley, an Australian healthcare content specialist. Mitchell has spent years researching the Australian telehealth market, writing about Medicare regulations, and comparing providers for leading healthcare publications.
